COMMON GRACE FLOWER FARM

HISTORY

Nicole and Jeremy DeBacker have deep roots in both farming and the Boulder community. Jeremy’s ancestors were pioneer settlers who began farming in Boulder Valley in the 1860s, and many of their descendants still farm there today. Nicole’s grandparents moved to Colorado from their Nebraska farm in the late 1950s.
Jeremy grew up helping on his family’s farm along Arapahoe Road, while Nicole spent countless hours in her great-grandmother Grace’s garden in Golden, Colorado. After leaving the Nebraska farm, Grace became a passionate gardener, filling her yard with flowers like peonies, roses, lilacs, and more. In 1992, she unknowingly won first prize in the Columbine Days Garden Tour. This magical garden sparked Nicole’s love for flowers and nature.
Today, Jeremy and Nicole farm two acres in Boulder County with their teenage son and daughter, along with two dogs, two cats, and 18 chickens.
